Itinerary
DAY 1 Arrival in Livingstone
After the transfer to the hotel the afternoon can be spent at
leisure. Optional scenic flights (helicopter or microlight) above
the Victoria Falls or a boats cruise on the Zambezi can be arranged.
DAY 2 Livingstone, visit to the famous Victoria
Falls
From the Zambian side we stand directly above the falls, watching
the thundering water tumbling down. In the afternoon we visit
Chief Mukunis Village, where we get an insight into traditional
life in Zambia (optional). Other activities can be organized.
DAY 3 Transfer to Botswana to Elephant Valley
Lodge outside the Chobe National Park
We cross the Zambezi to Botswana on the „Kazungula Ferry“.
In the afternoon a first game drive or walk or a boat trip is
done inside the Chobe National Park, that is famous for it’s
huge elephants herds. A night game drive around the lodge is the
best time to see nocturnally active cats.
DAY 4 Game drive and boats cruise in Chobe National
Park
Chobe National Park offers a great diversity of game and opportunities
for extraordinary sightings. From the boat we have the chance
to watch bathing elephants, hippos and crocodiles from close up.
DAY 5 Transfer to the airport in Kasane and flight
to PomPom Camp
From the air we get a view on the meandering arms of the Okavango,
while we fly deep into the delta. The camp offers the following
activities: Mokoro-trips (traditionally dug-out canoes steered
from the stern by skilled poler-guides) or motorboat-cruises,
game drives and game walks.
DAY 6 Boats Cruises, Game Drives & Walks
The Okavango Delta offers indescribable experiences. Nowhere else
it is possible to embrace nature as close as by gliding through
flowering water plants in a Mokoro in the complete silence of
the untouched delta, or during a game walk with a trained guide.
DAY 7 Flight to Maun and a 1,5 hours drive to
Le Roo La Tau (lunch is optional)
DAY 8 Game activities in the area around the lodge
A full day of game activities awaits us. The special flora and
fauna of this dry region offers many possibilities for interesting
sightings. Optional a day trip to Nxai Pans can be arranged. |
DAY
9 Transfer to Mankwe Bush Lodge
After settling into the lodge a game drive
is done (if time permits). Zebras, elephants,
buffalos, giraffes, large cats and bucks
such as the Red Lichwe live in the various
habitats of the area. In the evening
we can go on a game walk just outside
the lodge.
DAY 10 Game drives and/or game walks
around Mankwe Lodge
The area offers a large number of bird s
pecies as well as the larger game.
