TitleIntoduction As late as the 1990's the annual flood in the Okavango usually extended through into this concession and on into Maun. These days the flood is rarely so extensive and most of the Chitabe area should be considered to be a largely dry safari area.
Chitabe is renowned for having a broad range of game. Certainly we have had our share of unusual experiences here ... porcupine, aardwolf, honeybadger and even a caracal ... nice additions to the usual suspects. We tend to use the camps here relatively rarely, partly because we prefer the more remote feeling of the western delta and partly because for solid dry game-viewing we tend to head first for the Linyanti area, but this remains a good area, especially November to March
