1 Arrive Livingstone and transfer to our guest houseAfter arrival we will be transferred to our guest house. The afternoon is spent visiting the spectacular Victoria Falls. From the Zambian side we stand directly above the falls, watching the thundering water tumbling down. If time permits we can arrange another optional activity like bungee jumping, canoeing, white water rafting, elephant riding or a cultural visit to name a few. Zig Zag, B&B
2 After Breakfast cross by ferry into Botswana and drive to Nxai Pan National Park (app. 6 - 7 hours)En route we can stop at Kasane to change money and replenish our supplies. After setting up our camp a first game drive shows us around the area (if time permits). Possible sightings include Oryx, Springbock, Cheetah, Lion and many more. Camping Nxai Pan National Park, FB
3 Game drives in Nxai Pan National Park A full day of game drives lies ahead of us, to explore the area and to get an impression of the special flora and fauna of the dry grass pans. At the edge of Kudiakam Pan we visit the famous Baine’s Baobabs that have been immortalized by the painting of the explorer Bain. Camping Nxai Pan National Park, FB
4 Transfer to Moremi Game Reserve (5-6 hrs) with game viewing en-routeStart to Moremi Game Reserve, which covers swamp areas that are part of the Okavango Delta as well as dry bush land. The last part of the drive takes us through part of the Reserve with plenty of game-viewing. Camping Moremi, FB
5 Games drives in Moremi Game ReserveWe spent the whole day in the ever changing habitats of one of Botswana’s best game-viewing areas. Sightings may include a wide range of birds, buffalos, elephants, giraffe, antelopes and large carnivores Camping Moremi, FB
6 Boat trip into the Okavango Delta, overnight on an islandEarly in the morning we head back towards Maun. A few kilometres outside the town we meet our motorboat that takes us and our equipment on an adventurous trip into the Okavango Delta. We enter the system of crystal clear waterways and enjoy a tranquil trip to one of the little islands in the delta, where we set up camp and meet our polers with their Mokoros. 7 Okavango DeltaThe Okavango Delta offers indescribable experiences. Nowhere else it is possible to embrace nature as close as by gliding through flowering water plants in a Mokoro in the complete silence of the untouched delta, or during a game walk with our guide. 8 Transfer to Maun, app 4 hoursWe leave the Okavango Delta. If water level permits our boat takes us straight to Maun. We set up our tents on the camp site of one of the lodges. The afternoon can be spent at leisure or we can visit the frontier town of Maun. Camping in Maun, FB
9 Transfer to Dquae Quare, app 3 hoursThe private Reserve of Dquae Quare offers the chance to get an insight of the San culture as it is today. In the afternoon we go on a guided bushwalk accompanied by a Bushmen guide that will teach us about plants that can be used as medicine or for food. The evening is spent listening to stories told in the ancient San language. Camping at Dquae Quare, FB
10 Activities at Dquae QuareEarly in the morning we go on a game drive around the reserve that is home to Oryx, Red Hartebeest, Kudu, Eland and many other species of plain game as well as an occasional leopard or cheetah visitor. After lunch we learn more about the Bushmen culture and have the chance to participate in craft making. When it becomes dark we sit around the fire and watch traditional bushmen dances. 11 Transfer to Tsodilo Hills, 4-5 hoursFrom Dquae Quare we head north towards Shakawe. After arrival at the Tsodilo Hills Campsite we set up our tents and go on a first walk around the area that bears the testimony of ancient cultures that settled here thousands of years ago. 12 Visit of the Bushmen drawings at Tsodilo Hills,We spent the whole day looking at some of the over 4000 Bushmen drawings, that have been declared a UNESCO world heritage site. Some of these paintings are more then 4000 years old. Camping at Tsodilo Hills, FB
13 Transfer to Mahangu, NamibiaThis day takes us into the Caprivi Strip. We drive to the border at Mohembo and cross into Namibia. Here we set up tents at Ngepi Camp. In the afternoon we go on a boats cruise on the look out for hippo and crocodile and enjoy the spectacular African sunset over the water. Camping Ngepi Camp, FB
14 Transfer to Linyanti Area, NamibiaAfter an early morning game drive in Mahango National Park with a good chance to see the endangered Roan and Sable Antelopes, large herds of Elephant and Buffalo, we head east through the Caprivi Strip. The Linynati area offers a remote beautiful landscape that is home to game like elephant, a variety of antelopes and large predators. Camping Linyanti Area, FB
15 Transfer to Chobe National Park, BotswanaWe cross back into Botswana at the Ngoma border. At Chobe National Park , famous for it’s huge elephant herds, we set up camp and go on a first game drive along the beautiful scenery of Chobe River. Camping Chobe Area FB
16 Game drives in Chobe, optional sunset cruise on the Chobe RiverChobe National Park offers a great diversity of game and opportunities for extraordinary observations along the Chobe River and Floodplains. Possible sightings are elephant, buffalo, giraffe, a variety of antelopes, lion, leopard, hippo, crocodile and many more. Camping Chobe Area FB
17 Transfer to Livingstone, ZambiaA last game drive takes us to Kasane in game-viewing speed. From where we cross the border on the Kazungula Ferry into Zambia and drive to Livingstone. Here we can spend the afternoon at leisure or going on a shopping trip. Zig Zag, B&B
18 After Breakfast, Relax until meeting the connecting flight. Optional a cultural visit can be arranged. End
