Accommodation
is in insect proof 3m x 3m walk-in cottage style tents with gauze-covered
windows Tents are furnished with single beds, foam mattresses,
duvets, sheets, blankets and pillows
Lighting is provided by gas lamps, which provide enough light
to read by
Ablutions are en-suite, consisting of a long drop toilet and
hot water bucket shower.
The bucket shower water temperature is regulated by the amount
of hot or cold water mixed in the bucket.
Guests can have it as hot or cold as they like it.
Canvas hand basins with mirrors attached are placed in front
of each tent and are filled with hot water after every meal and
activity.

There is one shower and one toilet for every four guests i.e
for eight guests there will be two showers and two toilets.

is in small 2 man dome tents that are totally insect proof.
Mattresses, sheets, sleeping bags and blankets are provided.
Guests are expected to help with putting up and breaking down
of the camp.
There is a cook along to help with the food and general chores
around the camp.
There is a hand basin per tent and shared bucket shower and toilet
per 7 clients.
There is no lighting in the tents.
Guests should bring flash lights with them.
Luggage- clients are allowed a maximum of 12kg's luggage. |
Staff
In addition to a professional Botswana registered safari guide who
has had first aid training, we will have a full complement of staff
to perform all chores.
The exact number of assistants will depend on the number of guests
The camp assistants perform all camp chores such as setting up
camp and the preparation of meals

a driver/cook and waiter/general hand who will possibly travel in
a separate vehicle (if there are more that 4 guests) The camp

There is 1 staff member on the semi participation safari excluding
the guide and he is a cook and general hand.
He will help clients set up and take down tents as well as tidy
tents and cook all meals.

cereal and coffee breakfast to fit in with game drives and early

Brunch or lunch will consist of a main course, two salads and
fresh fruit.

Dinners consists of three courses served with house wine
Menus change daily and fresh produce is used
Vegetarian or special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement
Beverages are included in the safari fare and include
Alcoholic beverages, which include red wine, white wine, vodka,
gin, brandy, sherry, whisky and beer
Soft drinks, which include coke, tonic, bitter lemon, coke lite,
Schweppes lemon, soda water and bottled water

so we can make sure we have plenty of these items

the first day of safari in order for you to purchase what you

We can pre-order drinks, the cost of which must be settled directly
with the guide at the end of the safari or guests can buy their
own.

call followed by a light breakfast before departing on a morning
game drive that lasts until brunch/lunch time.
The early afternoon is spent relaxing until teatime when it is
time to depart on an afternoon game drive.
At sundown return to camp for dinner under the stars
If the itinerary routes via Xakanaxa and Chobe river front –
Boat cruises are excluded in both of these areas.

Type
of Activities that are offered
The daily activities usually follow along these lines...
An early start with a light breakfast, then out on an activity,
that will last through until brunch/lunch.
This will be followed by a siesta through the main heat of the
day.
Then it is tea time and then off on an afternoon activity, that
ends at sundown.
Boat trips
In the Chobe National Park and the Xakanaxa area of the Moremi
Reserve, a boat trip is not included in the price of the safari.

Insurance
In the event of a medical emergency, guests are
covered by medical air rescue BUT It is imperative that guests
take out their own fully comprehensive medical insurance to cover
any hospitalization or further treatment.
Unfortunately we cannot accept any client who does not have this.

of Medical Cover offered In the event of a medical
emergency, clients that are engaged on a mobile safari are covered
by medical air rescue.
In the event of a medical emergency, it is imperative that the
guest takes out their own fully comprehensive travel insurance
policy valid from the date they confirm their itinerary.
This should cover cancellation, lost baggage, admission to hospital
and all subsequent medical expenses
