For the avid fisherman and fisherwoman there can be nothing as rewarding
as fishing the Zambezi, Chobe and Okavango rivers.
These magnificent river systems are literally a fisherman's paradise
with over 90 species from redbreast, greenhead and threespot tilapia
to humpback largemouth, nembwe, pink happy - not forgetting the fighting
tigerfish.
Dependent on the time of year and fishing conditions you can fly fish,
spinning, troll or drift bait.
On the Chobe and Zambezi where the waters are fast flowing, fly fishing
is particularly good during August, September and October and spinning
when the water levels are low and tigers confined to the main river.
During July and August bream fishing is excellent on these rivers -
either by spinning or fly.
In the Caprivi these are just some of the catches recorded in 2006
