Lusaka
Lusaka is the capital city of Zambia.
There is good accommodation in and around the city.
From Lusaka, one can travel north to Tanzania, east to Luangwa
Valley and Malawi, west to Kafue National Park.
Lusaka is about 470 km to the north. The road is in good condition.
Driving time is about 5 hours.
There are often Police Road Blocks along the road but if all your
papers are in order, there is rarely a problem.
If you do face a problem at a road block you are not required
to pay any fine immediately; you have 7 days to pay at any police
station. Never bribe. Remember that Zambia requires reflective
tape to be stuck to the front and rear of each vehicle. Seat belts
are required.
