The Cuando river
(also known as Kwando) begins in the highlands of Angola. Flowing southeast, it forms the boundary of Zambia and Angola before entering the Caprivi strip of Namibia.
Some 10,000 years ago, the Cuando continued south to lake Makgadikgadi . Today the river turns east along the border with Botswana and from this point the river is known as the Linyanti river. After flowing through a seasonal lake and beyond Liambesi) the river is known as the Chobe River – which then flows into the Zambezi
